Born Soft Blue And White

From the Files Of: How Is This Even Possible?
Separated at birth? They say everyone has a "cosmic-twin" wandering around the earth somewhere, but running into them is so socially awkward that we rarely acknowledge it when it happens. Well, at the risk of being socially awkward (too late, wierdo!), I present, on the left, with the blue jersey: The General's Daughter. On the right, with the white jersey: a "Leaf Fan" from DownGoesBrown's facebook page.

Did somebody say, "disappointed face?" Wait 'til the season starts, kids.

Just warming up the muscles, obviously. You've got to be ready five minutes into opening night.

That kid has the facial expression down pat. Could also probably pass for the real Nil Borschevsky at an autograph convention too.

On a somewhat related note, there's nothing quite like casually scrolling through your RSS feed and suddenly going "wait, was that a picture of my child on somebody else's blog?"

It certainly catches your attention.

Hey DGB: Sincerely hope you don't mind.
"wait, was that a picture of my child on somebody else's blog?"
That's how I felt when I saw your facebook page, except that it wasn't. Didn't want to be the only person who had seen both photos, so I had to put them up together.
Hey eyebleaf: You have "unborn kids"? Congratulations. Make the most of your free time now, 'cause once they are "born kids" its over.
Hey jaredoflondon: baby's first words were actually "uh-oh", which she said immediately after TSN announced the Jeff Finger signing.
Hey scott baker: Ready for 2027, maybe. You might be looking at the key to ending the Leafs, at that point, 60-year Cup drought. One might be a power-forward already, and the other seems like the "stay-at-home" type. Right now the General's Daughter needs to reduce the clutching and grabbing, work on her communication skills, and learn to make better passes through the nuetral zone. The desire to win is already there. She's a fierce competitor.

The first game the Leafs played after my daughter was born was the one where they beat the Bruins 10-2.

At the time, I was convinced she was The Chosen One. Turns out, not so much.

Luckily for the world, I'm a few years off the kid thing.
